During a CNN Town Hall event last week, President Joe Biden asked at one point, “What am I doing here?” One could take that admission in a lot of different directions but as far as single-issue pro-lifers are concerned, that question basically sums up his Presidency as far as the life issues are concerned.
President Biden has joined the extremist brigade in calling on Congress to codify the tragic Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision—a decision that has brought about the deaths of more than 62 million American preborn babies since 1973.
He has abandoned his previously-held views on taxpayer funding of abortion: he wants the life-affirming Hyde Amendment removed. He wants to subsidize the embattled abortion industry—even though national public opinion polls consistently show that the vast majority of Americans do not want their hard-earned tax dollars to pay for abortion.
We know from research that, when taxpayer funding of abortion occurs, abortion totals skyrocket. This is the legacy that President Biden threatens to leave behind.
He has come a long way from his birthplace of Scranton, PA, which was once described as the pro-life capital of the U.S. During his Administration, he has consistently sided for the abortion industry and against “the little guy,” as defined as the baby in his mother’s womb.
